HARLAN'S HOLIDAY retired at age four after 9 wins in 22 starts and earnings of $3,632,644. He started in 17 Graded events, winning 5 and was on the board in 8 more. An extremely versatile runner, Harlan's Holiday was a precocious two-year-old winning four stakes in six starts
and setting a new stakes record (1:35 flat) in the one-mile Iroquois S. (G3) at Churchill Downs.

His speed and class matured into classic ability at three and four as he won three Grade One events and was second in three more including the Donn Hcp (G1), Florida Derby (G1) and Keeneland's Bluegrass S. (G1). Harlan's Holiday was sound and consistent, having a well balanced and correct conformation he is a superb athlete in every respect.

By Harlan, a Grade 1 winning son of Storm Cat, Harlan sired only 5 crops before his early death, including multiple Grade 1 winners Menifee and Harlan's Holiday and Grade 2 winners Owsley and Wandering. Grandsire Storm Cat has sired more than 100 stakes winners and five champions and his sons at stud include Stormin Fever, Forest Wildcat, Hennessy and Giant's Causeway making him one of the northern hemispheres most influential sires of the Northern Dancer line.
