Gaileo was born to be a champion. He is by Europe’s
top sire, the legendary Sadler’s Wells, out of a mare
who beat the boys in Europe’s most prestigious race,
the Prix Arc d’Triomphe. And what a champion he was.
Galileo won the famed Epsom Darby, running the second fastest
time in the over 200 year history of the storied event.
Afterwards he won the Irish Derby and the King George VI
and Queen Elizabeth Diamond S. over older horses. His exploits
on the course earned him a total of four championships in
both England and France.
